The Chickens Coop

Last Thursday we had a grand opening of a new PlantPets stand at The Chickens Coop:

The coop's owner Maxin Waco offered us a great spot at the market and a lot of AVs from the coop's group turned up for the opening. We gave away probably more than 20 plantpets and answered a lot of questions.

The Chickens Coop Orphanage and Market is an ideal place to sell or leave for adoption your future baby plantpets. Currently, the market has sections not only for chickens but also for turtle and rabbit pets and we hope it will become a popular place for those who breed plantpets as well.

Our stand (in the picture above) was built by Maniac Choche and me with most of the credit going to Maniac for the sculpts and the light effects.

Spawn Boosters

It has been a few days since we released the spawn boosters but I had been too busy with building a new presentation stand for PlantPets and did not have to blog it until now.

So.. we put for sale 4 types of boosters: 1 unit, 2 units, 3 units and 5 units. Only one booster can be applied to a plantpet per day regardless of its capacity. So basically, if you use a 5 unit booster every day you will make your plantpet spawn in approximately 9 days and the baby will cost you no more than 450L. And this applies to any type of plantpet. Of course, if you patiently wait for 52 days you'll get a baby plantpet absolutely free.

Eventually, we may release packs of spawn boosters in the future and occasionally we may give larger capacity spawn boosters to the PlantPets group members. We would be happy to hear from our costumers what spawn booster packs they would like to see us offer.

I want to say a few words about the build of the spawn boosters too. I used the inworld Sculpt Studio to build my second ever sculpt map! :) I got a free non-sculpted pill from XstreetSL and used it as a model to build a sculpt map for a pill prim. I'm quite happy with the result and I hope you'll enjoy it too! :)

Next I'll blog about our new presentation stand at the chicken orphanage of Maxin Waco. Stay tuned!

Major Upgrade!

Exciting news!!! We just released an optional but very nice upgrade that will allow an already growing plantpet to spawn. If it is kept healthy and happy for 52 days it will give its owner a gift-packed baby plantpet absolutely free! Any moment we will also release spawn boosters which will allow to shorten the 52 day period to a week or two. Stay tuned! Older version plantpets without an update button in their menu will have to be upgraded manually. Ask me if you have one and want to allow it spawn!

Winter Special

All six varieties of the Amaryllis plant are already released. Prim-designer is our team-mate Lit Oberth. He made both a single-stem and a three-stem version of each of the six Amaryllis plants.

Amaryllis is native to South Africa and you can read more about it in Wikipedia:
